Alabama River, Mile 220 (International Paper Company)

Notice is given to mariners that International Paper Company’s Riverdale Mill, at river mile 220, will have a contractor onsite performing work to lower an existing 36” outfall pipe and diffuser. The work will take place from 7 February to 28 February 2023. The construction will require assist vessels and equipment in the navigation channel and navigation traffic can contact these vessels via marine radio on VHF channel 16. Mariners are to exercise caution while traversing the area and to pass at a no wake speed.
