Alberici is a diversified construction company recognized for superior quality and customer service. With operations throughout North America and clients around the world, we offer general contracting, construction management, design-build, and emergency response solutions to owners of marine-based infrastructure. With annual revenues exceeding $2.6 billion, Alberici is ranked as the 30th largest construction company in the United States by Engineering News-Record. In addition to our LEED Platinum headquarters in St. Louis, we maintain a network of offices throughout North America.
To provide optimal control over labor, schedule, and budget, Alberici maintains key self-performance capabilities. Our craft workforce of more than 2,500 regularly self-performs between 3 – 6 million hours per year. Alberici maintains industry leading core competencies in new construction, rehabilitation, repair, and maintenance of locks, dams, bridges, terminals, docks, and complex marine structures, including pile foundations, dredging, and rip-rap armor.
Alberici is also one of only a few construction firms with our own steel fabrication facility. Located in St. Louis, our 250,000-square-foot facility can fabricate up to 40,000 tons of complex steel and prefabricated steel modules annually. We also offer shipping from our port facilities on the Mississippi River and Illinois Waterway and own a significant equipment fleet that includes push boats, spud barges, work platforms, flat deck barges, personnel carriers, sectional barges, and pontoons.
In 2018, Alberici acquired the assets of central Illinois-based marine contractor, Midwest Foundation, a mainstay on the Illinois River for more than 50 years. This acquisition of Midwest Foundation added to Alberici’s already strong marine construction portfolio, further bolstering our position as one of the nation’s top builders of complex projects on the inland river transportation system.
