The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) is accepting applications for a Program Analyst with expertise in Intermodal Transportation. See attached and below for an overview of the position and HERE for the full job description. The position is located in Washington, DC and is open until filled.
The selected individual will provide transportation technical assistance to states, communities, businesses, transportation and trade organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance the Appalachian Region’s access to opportunities and markets. They will develop and manage a portfolio of intermodal transportation and economic development activities which can help link the Region, especially its economically distressed areas, to domestic and global supply chains.
Established by Congress in 1965, ARC is composed of the governors of the 13 Appalachian states and a federal co-chair, who is appointed by the president. Local participation is provided through multi-county local development districts. ARC's mission is to innovate, partner, and invest to build community capacity and strengthen economic growth in Appalachia. Part of this mission includes enhanced market access for businesses in the Region through improved intermodal systems.
