Reference Navigation Notice : 19406. Mariners can expect a daily closure at Newt Graham L&D 18 on May 10th, 2022. Daily shut down for dive operations will be eight hours between the hours of 0800 and 1600 while the inspections are in progress. Navigation traffic is asked to plan accordingly around this daily closure.
There are uncertainties in the amount of time the contractor needs to complete their work as scheduled and unforeseen issues could require additional time. The tentative schedule published in Navigation Notice 19406 is subject to change further and mariners are advised to stay up to date with the latest information and be advised further Navigation Notices will be released with all updates and changes. Waterway users are asked to check with Lock 18 (918) 543-2216 for the latest information and should schedule their activities around this notice. Reference Navigation Notice: 19406. Mariners can expect daily closures from April 27th thru May 7th at Newt Graham L&D 18. Daily shut down will be eight hours between the hours of 0800 and 1600 while the inspections are in progress. Dive work will be performed weekdays and Saturday April 30th and May 7th. No dive operations with be performed on Sundays. Navigation traffic is asked to plan accordingly around these daily closures.

The flows are too great at other locks for the diving contractor and they are changing their schedule to begin their diving work at Newt Graham L&D 18 instead of W.D. Mayo L&D 14. Daily shut down will be eight hours between the hours of 0800 and 1600 while the inspections are in progress. Navigation traffic is asked to plan accordingly around these daily closures.
