Atchafalaya River : Stouts Pass & Berwick Bay Harbor

Commencing on 31 August 2022 and continuing through approximately 14 September 2022, the U.S. Government Contract Cutterhead Dredge CAPTAIN FRANK will perform dredging operations at Stout’s Pass, between Mile 113 and Mile 116 of the Atchafalaya River.
Upon the completion of Stout’s Pass, the dredge will move to Berwick Bay Harbor.
The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and give way to vessels using the waterway. Dredged material will be deposited along the Right Descending Bank of the Atchafalaya River and via a floating pipeline.
Mariners should contact the dredge on VHF marine channels 13 and 16 for sailing instructions.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
