Atchafalaya River Teche Vermillion Pump Plant

Commencing on 30 March 2023 and continuing through approximately 2 April 2023, a U.S. Government Contractor will be performing barge unloading operations at Teche Vermillion Pump Plant, at Mile 39 of the Atchafalaya River on the Right Descending Bank (RDB).

The Contractor will work 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include a spud barge with hydraulic backhoe.

An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.

During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the

Right Descending Bank (RDB) out of the Atchafalaya River Channel.

The M/V Noah P Hayes can be contacted on VHF Marine Channels 16 and 17.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
