Garver is accepting applications for a CAD Technician - Entry Level (Harlingen, TX)

Job Description:

Garver is seeking an entry level CAD Technician to join our Harlingen, Texas Water team. This position will be responsible for performing a wide array of duties for design projects, such as: water distribution systems, including conveyance and network piping, pump stations and reservoirs, sewer collection systems, including interceptor, network and outfall piping and lift stations.

The CAD Technician will be led by Project Managers on a team consisting of multi-discipline design engineers focused on the production of design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans and profiles, sections, details and specifications. The CAD Technician must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Up to 2 years of drafting experience working in an engineering consulting firm
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation and/or InRoads
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Water main and sewer main design
  • Working knowledge of GIS software
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
