Calcasieu River- US 171 Bridge Repairs

All mariners are advised that the US 171 Bridge, located in the vicinity of mile marker 46.5 on the Calcasieu River, will be conducting bridge repairs from November 28, 2022 - December 23, 2022.

Bridge repairs include restoring structural steel and installing new navigation lighting. A containment system will be installed under the bridge reducing the vertical clearance by 2 feet.

All vessel traffic should proceed with caution when transiting under the bridge. For status updates please contact Floyd Shane Brooks of Seminole Equipment at 865-250-6405. The Contractor on scene will be monitoring VHF channels 13 & 16.
