Channel Closure – McAlpine Locks and Dam, Ohio River Mile 606.8

Date: 07/18/2022 14:49 thru 07/23/2022 14:49 McAlpine Locks and Dam (ORM 606.8): A USACE contractor will be conducting diving operations in the vicinity of McAlpine Locks and Dam upper approach in the Portland Canal to remove an old water line. Diving operations are anticipated to start on 18 July 2022 and be completed no later than 23 July 2022. During this time, river traffic will be halted during the hours of 0700 – 1700 Eastern Time. After diving operations are completed for the day navigation traffic will resume.
Dive operations will be conducted from a 28’ aluminum cabin boat, the M/V Dive Commander, displaying dive flags. The dive crew will be monitoring Marine Channel 13.
Mariners should exercise caution when transiting the area and take all direction from McAlpine Locks and Dam Lock Operators. |
