- The Dredge Bill Holman will commence dredging operations downstream of Costello Lock and Dam on Saturday, 17 September 2022. Dredging will be performed from the lower lock gates to the Upper Mississippi River confluence. Dredging is expected to be complete by 30 September 2022.
- Mariners should exercise caution when passing within the vicinity of the Dredge Bill Holman. The dredge utilizes floating pontoon pipeline, anchor lines, small tenders and skiffs in support of its dredging operations. For passing arrangements, the Dredge Bill Holman can be contacted on Marine Channel 13.
- Tows requesting lockage are encouraged to contact Costello Lock and Dam in advance to schedule their arrivals. Mariners are also advised that the downstream floating guidewall will be removed for dredging operations and should exercise caution when transiting the Lock.
- All navigation interests should be alert for, and abide by, any special instructions that may be issued by the Lockmaster.
