Notice is given that “Luhrs Bros., Inc” will commence maintenance dredging in the Portland Canal. Dredging operations will be conducted approximately 04 - 06 July 2022, 24 hours per day, seven days a week. During this period, the Dredge Bill Holman will be along the right descending bank, outside the navigation channel, allowing traffic to pass without interruption. Contact the Dredge Bill Holman for passing instruction on marine channel 13. Once contact has been made with the Dredge Bill Holman, proceed at the slowest safe speed.
The contractor’s floating plant will consist of the Dredge Bill Holman, M/V’s LENARD and BUDDY, and the ROBERT T, one shop barge, one spill barge, and floating pipeline sections. The Dredge Bill Holman, M/V’s LENARD and BUDDY will be monitoring marine channel 13.
