Channel Maintenance Dredging, Robert C Byrd Locks and Dam, Ohio River Mile 279.2

Notice is given that on or about 22 May 2023, Amherst Madison Inc., contractor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
Huntington District, will commence channel maintenance dredging in the lower approach at Robert C. Byrd Locks and
Dam, Ohio River, mile 279.2.

The contractor's floating plant will consist of the M/V LUCEDALE, M/V BUS BROWN, two dump scows, and one barge mounted crane

The vessels will be monitoring marine channel 13 and should be contacted for passing arrangements. Dredging will be performed between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. midnight, the work is anticipated to be complete on or about 26 May 2023. The dredged material will be placed in-water, downstream of the dam.

The contractor's floating plant will be moored at the worksite during non-working hours and will be lighted according to regulations.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made
