The Position

The Foreman Position is responsible for supervising and coordinating a crew of workers to perform daily construction activities.

*Organize and plan work activities with the Project Manger to develop the appropriate sequence and to discuss the best means and methods to accomplish the required tasks.
*Review and/or create project schedules and the 3-week look ahead
*Supervise and coordinate the daily operations on assigned projects to ensure that proper resources of labor, equipment and material are in place for the timely completion of work.
*Review specifications, plans and project documents to ensure work is built to the appropriate standards.
*Monitor quality of work being performed daily.
*Assist with jobsite orientation and mentor new workers.
*Coordinate equipment needs, ensure operators are qualified and communicate maintenance issues in a timely manner.
*Conduct meetings with the job site crew to discuss safety requirements, job site related hazards and feedback.

*Ensure all Marcus equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
*Other duties and responsibilities upon request

Education & Experience:

The preferred education for the position is a two (2) year trade school degree and a minimum of three (3) years experience within the commercial/industrial construction industry.  2 years’ welding experience and a valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred.

Travel Requirements:  Frequent and occasional overnight or extended travel to jobsites is required for this position.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
