Diving Operations: Kentucky Lock, Tennessee River

Lewis Environmental Consulting, LLC will be conducting diving operations from 10 October 2023- 17 October 2023 in support of Kentucky Dam Mussel Survey Work. The survey work will involve working within the lower approach channel. Marine Channel 13 and 16 will be monitored through VHF Radio. Commercial tow traffic coming to and from the lock is monitored to be sure that we have adequate time to get the divers out of the water. The

lockmaster will have a cell phone number to contact the dive boat, if needed. Dive crews will be pulled from the channel as needed to minimize traffic delays. Hours of operation will be 07:00 A.M. through 05:00 P.M. each day. Vessel operators should exercise caution when transiting this area and allow enough time for the dive crews to pull divers from the water safely.
