DREDGING Galveston Harbor and Channel, Texas and Houston Ship Channel, Texas Galveston Harbor Entrance and Bolivar to Redfish Hopper Dredging

Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co. LLC (GLDD) is resuming dredging operation with the Dredge “Padre Island” for the on-going contract referenced above as awarded by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This assignment includes the dredge Padre Island performing dredging operations on the greenside in the Galveston Harbor Channel from Stations 1+000 to 22+571 (contract Sections 25-28). The Dredge Padre Island commenced operations on February 8, 2024, and work for approximately twenty-one days before the arrival of the Dredge Galveston Island which will then complete remaining work. Completion of operations is expected on or around March 26.

Material placement is designated for the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS) Zones C & E. Operations will be performed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Additional planning includes the mobilization of Drag Barge GL 150 along with Tug Miss Becky mid- February 2024 to perform bed-leveling operations as dredging operation progresses. GLDD will continue to update the Local Notice to Mariners for any changes.

Contractor's related floating plant such as survey boats will be used in and around the work area.

• Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.

• Communications is to be accomplished via VHF-FM Channels 11, 13, and 16 and the same channels for the Traffic Center guards on a 24-hour basis. Respective dredge(s) should be contacted for coordination of passing and movement near all dredging operations.
