Dredging Operations: Bayou Chene

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 23-03, dated 6 January 2023, stating that the U.S. Government Contract Cutterhead Dredge SUSAN CROSBY will be working in Bayou Chene until approximately 30 July 2023.
MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE DREDGING OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 30 NOVEMBER 2023.
The dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will be monitoring VHF Marine Channels 13 and 16.
Dredged material will be deposited through a floating pipeline onto disposal areas located in Bayou Chene.
Besides dredging equipment, there are numerous work and support vessels associated with this dredging operation.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
