Dredging Operations: Calcasieu River Bar Channel Mile 1.5 to Mile 19.0

Effective immediately and continuing through approximately 31 March 2023, the U.S. Government Contract Hopper Dredge PADRE ISLAND will be working in the Calcasieu River Bar Channel from approximately Mile -1.5 to Mile -19.0.

The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will give way to passing navigation. The Dredge can be contacted on either VHF channel 13 or 16 for sailing instructions.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
