Dredging Operations Mississippi River and Southwest Pass

Beginning on or about 18 April 2026 and continuing through approximately 30 April 2026, the U.S. Government Hopper Dredge WHEELER will be working in Southwest Pass from Head of Passes (mile 0) to approximately mile 22 Below Head of Passes (BHP), and in the Mississippi River from Head of Passes to approximately mile 13 Above Head of Passes (AHP).

The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be contacted on either VHF channel 67 or 16 for passing instructions.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
