Dredging Operations Mississippi River New Orleans Harbor

Mariners are advised that beginning on or about 13 August 2026 and continuing through approximately 15 September 2026, the U.S. Government Contract Cutterhead Dredge CAPTAIN FRANK will be working in the New Orleans Harbor from Mile 94 to Mile 101.5 Above Head of Passes.

Dredged material will be deposited through floating pipelines into deep water of the Mississippi River.

The dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dredge personnel will be monitoring VHF channels 16 and 67, and should be contacted for passing arrangements.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
