Dredging Operations: Mississippi River & Southwest Pass

Mariners are advised that beginning on approximately 31 January 2023 and continuing through approximately 31 July 2023, the U.S. Government Contract Hopper Dredge GLENN EDWARDS will be working in Southwest Pass from Head of Passes (mile 0) to approximately mile 22 Below Head of Passes (BHP), and in the Mississippi River from Head of Passes to approximately mile 13 Above Head of Passes (AHP).

The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be contacted on either VHF channel 67 or 16 for sailing instructions.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
