Dredging Operations: Mobile River, Pier 5 South

Notice is given to mariners that Manson Constructions’ hopper dredge Newport will begin maintenance dredging operations in the Mobile River working from Pier 5 south on or about 14 June 2023.

They will also be working on the Mobile Bar in the vicinity of Buoy’s 8 and 10. Material will be placed in the ocean disposal area. Dredging activities are expected to continue for one month. The dredge can be contacted on VHF Channels 13 and 16.

Mariners should exercise extreme caution when transiting these areas.
