Eastpoint Channel:

Notice is given to mariners that Mike Hooks LLC will begin dredging operations in and around the Eastpoint federal navigation channel on 17 October 2022 using a cutterhead suction dredge. The dredge material will be used to create a beneficial use marsh along the southside of the existing west jetty breakwater. Dredging activities are expected to continue for approximately four months.

Two Mile Channel:

Notice is given to mariners that Mike Hooks LLC will begin dredging of the Two Mile federal navigation channel on or around 17 November 2022 using a cutterhead suction dredge. The dredge material will be placed in the upland disposal area adjacent to the channel. Dredging activities are expected to continue for approximately three months.

Floating and submerged pipeline will be used to complete the work. The dredge plant can be contacted on VHF-FM Channels 13 and 16.

Mariners should exercise extreme caution when transiting this area.
