Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel within the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Plan, coordinate, prepare, and/or review: technical specifications and/or construction cost estimates and/or contracts for Architect-Engineer work in support of District projects.
Duties
- Review contract documents for completeness and conformance to established standards.
- Conduct field inspections and/or project site visits.
- Plan, review, and/or independently prepare detailed technical specifications for engineering projects.
- Plan, develop, and/or review cost estimates for projects.
- Communicate technical and engineering requirements.
- Analyze specifications and/or cost estimates prepared by others.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent must, at a minimum, possess the Tri-Service Certified Cost Engineering Technician (CCET) certification.
Qualifications: In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
