Entry Level Mechanic

Department: 300 - Equip Maint
Location: Miami Gardens, FL

Ozinga is seeking an entry level Mechanic to join our growing South Florida team. If you are hungry, humble, and eager to learn while making a positive impact on the customers and communities we serve, we would love to speak with you!

Ozinga Mechanics diagnose malfunctions and maintain and repair mobile equipment, including ready mix trucks, dry bulk tractors and trailers (both pneumatic and dump), and wheel loaders. Mechanics also assist in repairing and maintaining batch plants and ancillary equipment when needed.

This entry level position is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills from experienced coworkers and build a meaningful career with people who value service, learning, and entrepreneurship.

If you have a servant's heart, have earned a high school diploma, have at least 1 year of experience working in automotive or truck repair, and have good computer skills, this may be the opportunity for you.

Ozinga is a forward thinking, fourth-generation, family owned and operated business that invests in people in order to help them grow, develop, and achieve their goals personally and professionally.

The Ozinga story is an American story— Established in 1928 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, as a small coal and coke yard, Ozinga survived the Great Depression and World War II before becoming one of the first ready mix providers in the region. For four generations, we have continuously expanded our product and service offerings to faithfully meet the needs of builders throughout Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, and South Florida while holding to our longstanding commitment to provide it all at a fair price.

Today we provide concrete, bulk materials, and energy solutions while offering transportation services through an extensive network of truck, rail, barge, and ship terminals. Perhaps best recognized for our red and white striped concrete mixer trucks, Ozinga is proud to be an American-owned, fourth-generation family business serving the communities where we live, work and play. As our story continues, we will use our principles to build a better future for our coworkers, communities, customers, and country, and make the world better because we were all here working together.
