USACE Remote Lock Operations Virtual Session on 15 DEC 2022.

Background: USACE has begun developing a strategy to outline what remote lock
operations might look like and how USACE might implement the technology.
Implementing remote lock operations on USACE inland waterways may alleviate
unforeseen system impacts, modernize the system, improve overall system operations,
and leverage technological innovations in the shipping industry.
As a part of this effort, USACE is seeking communication, input, and feedback from
inland navigation and recreational partners and stakeholders. We want to hear from you
about how this change may affect our nation’s inland waterways.
