SITUATION: NAVIGATIONAL RESTRICTIONS

US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Vicksburg dive team will perform diving operations at the Brazos River Floodgates, to conduct power blasting for removal of marine growth off the gates. This work will require closure of the Locks during the designated periods of work. Work will include weekends and holidays.

Diving operations will take place Monday, 20 June 2022 through Monday, 04 July 2022, 7:00 A.M. (0700 Hrs.) to 7:00 P.M. (1900 Hrs.).

COOPERATION SOLICITED:

  • Mariners should contact the Lock Master at (979) 233-1251 to confirm the closure time to minimize their delay.
  • The Lock Master will be knowledgeable of the exact closure times 24 hrs. in advance of closure.
  • Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
