Members, please note:
IRPT and its Members are urging Congress to introduce an inland port and terminal grant program in the FAST Act Reauthorization so a certain percentage of funding would be set aside for our projects. Further, we ask for elimination of the minimum award floor – thus allowing for more projects to be completed. For example, with FAST Act funded at $305 billion in 2018, we would essentially as for .01% (one-one-hundredth) of the funds to be set aside and used for inland port and terminal projects. That’s $30.5 million in projects that ports and terminals could use to increase product flows.
If you have not yet contacted your Senate leaders, I beg you to not delay.
