Description
This is a great time to join the Bussen Quarries team! We are seeking a skilled, reliable general laborer to join our family-owned company. This is a union position with the local 110 Laborers. You will be responsible for assisting with plant maintenance, plant cleanup, and following all site health and safety regulations. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
Candidate Requirements:

- Experience in quarry plant maintenance is preferred
- Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plant Cleanup with a shovel, water hose, and skid loader
- Assist with preventative maintenance of pulleys, bearings, gearboxes, idlers, belting, etc.
- Assist with repair work on wear plates, rock shoots, belt splicing, changing idlers, changing bearings, etc.
- Keep all travel ways clear from spillage for safe access of all personnel.
- Clean up spillage around conveyors/crushers to keep crushing plants in production.
- Safely operate a variety of tools and equipment including walk behind loaders, skid loaders, power washer, hammer drill, and grinders.
- Ensure buildings and job sites are orderly with the tools and parts cleaned and stored properly.
- Complete all task in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate with the plant operators on issues that you spot throughout the day.
- Complete other duties as needed.

Bussen Terminal is a full-service barge and rail facility located on the upper Mississippi River, just south of the Jefferson Barracks Bridge in St. Louis, Missouri. With three unloading docks each with a 150-ton crane, we unload barges as soon as they arrive at the port.
