Date: 28 APRIL 2022
Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-47, dated 27 April 2022, stating that Leland Bowman Lock will have intermittent delays to navigation (up to 4 hours) during daylight hours, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, 28 April 2022, for a U.S. Government Maintenance Unit to make emergency repairs to gate machinery.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO THE GATE MACHINERY HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND THE LOCK HAS RESUMED NORMAL OPERATIONS.
The Lock can be reached on VHF Marine Channel 14 for up-to-date information regarding the closure. The Lockmaster, Jason Petrey, can be reached at (337) 893-4412. The points of contact with the New Orleans District are Vic Landry at 504-862-2407 and Robert Swayze at 504-862-2060.

MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE INTERMITTENT DELAYS TO NAVIGATION FROM 7:00 A.M. UNTIL 7:00 P.M., FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO THE GATE MACHINERY HAVE BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH THURSDAY, 28 APRIL 2022.
