GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY, FLORIDA

Notice is given to mariners that recent significant rainfall in the area created a shoal on the south side of the channel in the West Bay Land Cut of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway near Mile 267.7, at Boar Hog Branch in Bay County, Florida. Presently, the south side of channel is blocked and the north half of the channel has depth restrictions of approximately 8.5 feet. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is assessing the condition and the U.S. Coast Guard will place a buoy at this site to mark the shoal.
