Gulf Intracoastal Waterway Inner Harbor Navigation Canal (IHNC) Lock (Update)

Navigation Bulletin No. 26-34

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 26-29, dated 3 April 2026,
stating that the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal (IHNC) Lock will resume daytime closures on 13 April 2026 and continue through approximately 1 May 2026, from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, due to a U.S. Government Maintenance Unit performing demolition operations on the damaged sections of the river end timber guidewall.

VESSELS TRANSITING IHNC LOCK WILL BE RESTRICTED TO A MAXIMUM WIDTH OF 54 FEET AND ARE ADVISED TO STEER CLEAR OF THE TIMBER GUIDEWALL ON THE RIVER END OF THE LOCK, FROM 5:30 P.M. ON 15 APRIL 2026 UNTIL 6:30 A.M. ON 16 APRIL 2026.

THE IHNC LOCK WILL LIFT THE WIDTH RESTRICTIONS LISTED ABOVE AT 6:30 A.M. ON 16 APRIL 2026 AND CONTINUE WITH THE DAYTIME CLOSURES, FROM 6:30 A.M. UNTIL 5:30 P.M., MONDAYS THROUGH FRIDAYS, THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 1 MAY 2026.
