Heavy Mobile Equipment Operator (Darrow, LA)
Impala Terminals is accepting applications for a Heavy Mobile Equipment Operator in Darrow, LA.
Main Purpose:
To operate various types of mobile equipment, mainly D-10 on the stockpile.

Key Responsibilities:
General
- To safely / professionally operate mobile equipment to be used for stockpile operations.
- To maintain, groom, compact, and reclaim stock from piles.
- Conduct a pre-use inspection on all equipment operated.
- Lubricate and grease equipment as per OEM Manual prior to operating equipment.
- Ability to zero pad with 988 wheel loader and 834 wheel dozer.
- Ability to feed the dozer traps effectively without pushing to the wall or over the wall.
- Work and maintain material (petroleum coke, coal, etc.) in storage piles to prevent run off form the stockpile.
- Report equipment deficiencies and submit work request.
- Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
- Operate the equipment in the right direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage of property.
- Ability to work at elevated heights.
- Ability to read / write and understand directions.
Compliance Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security:
- Report all Accidents, Incidents, and Near Misses.
- Adhere to all Terminal H.S.E/Security Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure all emergency equipment is operational.
- Report any unusual or suspicious activity.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Adhere to all Operation Policies and Procedures.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulatory agency requirements.
- Capable of receiving T.W.I.C. credentials.
- Complete all required annual training.
- Attend all scheduled pre-shift safety meetings.
Experience Knowledge Skills:
- Have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Experience operating heavy machinery
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team oriented.
Key Relationships and Department Overview:
This position reports to the Operations Supervisor of the Burnside Terminal.
