Illinois River Ice Conditions

Good afternoon,

I just want to give everyone an early heads up that after speaking with Rock Island USACE from Lagrange to Brandon Road, he said at this time ice couplings are not required at this time but he highly advises that we start preparing for it for tows headed for the river. They are expecting extremely cold weather and its only going to get worse as we go on. Let me know if you have any questions and please send me any pictures of any areas that are having heavy ice issues so I can pass them on.
