Illinois Waterway Hydraulic Dredging: Copperas Creek Reach, RM 136.0-136.8

Hydraulic dredging on the Illinois Waterway Copperas Creek reach, river mile 136.0-136.8 will begin at 0800 hrs on October 27, 2022 and continue 24/7 until further notice. Dredging is taking place on the left descending and right descending bankline with material being placed in an upland disposal area. A crossing line will be in place while dredging the right descending bankline. Passing vessels are required to coordinate transiting the area with the Dredge Barry J. Dredge Barry J will handle all ques. Breaking the line to pass traffic requires more notice to the Dredge, small delays should be expected. Dredging in this location is expected to last between 10-14 days.

Mariners are requested to pass at their safest slowest speed to minimize wake and hazards to the crew.
