Intake Screen Installation, Big Sandy River, Mile 6.0

Notice is given that on or about 30 October 2023, Superior Marine Inc., contractor for Calgon Carbon LLC, will begin water intake screen installation along the left descending bank of the Big Sandy River, Mile 6.0.

The contractor's floating plant will consist of the M/V MORGAN LEIGH and one barge mounted crane. The M/V MORGAN LEIGH will be monitoring marine channels 13 and 16. Work will be conducted 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work is expected to be completed on or about 30 November 2023.

During non-working hours the contractors floating plant will be moored at the worksite and lighted according to regulation. Mariners are urged to transit their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution.
