U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District Commander Col. Jesse Curry invites you to visit the bottom of Lock 12 in Bellevue, Iowa. Our team has dewatered the lock for maintenance and will be hosting small-group tours at 10 a.m. on Feb. 14, 2023. Reservations are required and space is limited.
Participants will travel to the bottom of the chamber where they will observe work crews actively performing critical repairs to our aging inland waterway navigation infrastructure. Tours will last approximately one hour and will be conducted outside in the cold. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared to wear provided safety gear and traverse several flights of stairs.
Reserve your spot today by scanning the QR code on the attached flyer or visiting this link.
