Data and BI Analyst (LA Cross, WI)

J.F. Brennan Company is accepting applications for Data and BI Analyst (LA Cross, WI)

We are searching for a Data and BI Analyst who will assist with companywide business intelligence and data analytics initiatives. Additionally, the position includes involvement in the creation, planning, testing and maintenance of data sets and BI reports and dashboards, which demands an individual with strong communication and documentation aptitude.

Utilizing strong analytical skills and technical expertise, this position will work closely with variety of stakeholders to analyze data, ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design, and present it in ways to help make better decisions. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design data architecture to align with business requirements
  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures
  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Collaborate with other analysts to develop data governance processes
  • Create and maintain systems and data documentation
  • Apply programming language and tools to deliver BI solutions (SQL, Dax, Power Query M, SSIS packages)
  • Create enterprise reports for internal teams and/or external customers based on recommendations and findings
  • Support Power BI users and analysts in self-service reporting

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Information Systems or related field or a minimum of two year’s equivalent work experience
  • Prior work experience with data visualization, business analytics, or business consulting
  • Firm grasp of data architecture including transactional databases
  • Coding/programming experience required; SQL, Dax, Power Query M preferred
  • Data visualization experience required; Power BI preferred
  • Understand how to make a report out of a data query or table
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to be self-directed with a high level of initiative and function under minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a strong focus on accuracy and a drive for results
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, including face to face interactions
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships
  • Critical thinking to analyze reports and report outcomes
