John Day Navlock Repair Work Underway

John Day Navigation Lock is currently reassembling the guide wheels on the navigation lock upstream gate. The nature of the work requires maintenance crews to sequentially setup and work each of the four guide wheels. John Day personnel will conduct this work while maintaining traffic flow through the lock using their caisson and tug boat (same method as before). However, vessels can expect delays up to 3-hours based on arrival time and current state of the work being performed.
