We are looking for a Junior Marine Engineer to join our Marine team, allowing you to co-create with our experts on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programs in North America.


In this position, you will join our global team of experts and work closely with your Technical Director and Project Managers to prepare technical documents such as design basis documents, calculations, drawings, specifications, engineering reports and will interface with specialists in other disciplines such as geotechnical, coastal, engineer-divers, and to a lesser extent, mechanical and electrical engineers.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Perform tasks on projects requiring a broad and/or deep knowledge in the field of structural, engineering, and marine infrastructure
  • Perform tasks in the field of structural analysis and design; including but not limited to reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design, and timber design
  • Implement design best practices in areas of expertise, in addition, ensures conformance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Prepare and review calculations for analysis along with preparing engineering reports and memoranda
  • Prepares construction drawings and other documents, such as technical specifications

In addition to the above, you will also:

  • Perform/oversee construction administration activities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers
  • Work collaboratively with members of all company disciplines
  • Perform site inspections, along with other duties as required.

Alongside your manager, you will outline the path for your development, and build your expertise on a day-to-day basis working on global and local assignments.

Furthermore, you should:

  • Hold a Bachelor's in civil engineering, Master's is preferred;
  • Hold Engineering in Training Certification or have the ability to obtain;
  • Possess 0 to 4 years of previous related experience on marine/waterfront structural design, construction, inspection, and rehabilitation;
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel and to perform required fieldwork; and
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent relationship-building skills.
