KRPD Kellogg, located on the Mississippi River, is a lock free site for downstream bound tows. This is a rail to barge terminal capable of receiving and loading at a rate of 4,000 tons per hour.  This public multi-purpose dock is capable of storing up to 1,000,000 tons of coal and has a 300 rail car yard with service provided by Union Pacific Railroad.

KRPD 1 is located in rural New Athens, IL on the Kaskaskia River Mile. This facility, operated by Kaskaskia River Terminals, is rail served by the Canadian National Railroad. The new in-bound off-loading facility consists of a barge equipped with a hydraulic trackhoe and conveyor that loads trains bound for destinations in the Midwest and beyond. The train loop can handle 125 car unit trains. The outbound loading facility is capable of handling 3,000 tons/hr of bulk material such as coal or grain from rail or truck to barge. The terminal, which is served by the Canadian National Railroad, includes a roll-off/roll-on ramp to handle oversized equipment.

The KRPD 2 terminal includes a 50-ton overhead electric crane and a 30,000 sq. ft. temperature and humidity-controlled warehouse. A new outbound conveyor was installed in Feb. 2015. This port facility can easily handle containers with the 50-ton overhead crane.
