LaGrange NESP 1200 Foot Lock Scoping Letter

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District (District), is preparing supplemental National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation for a proposed project to build a new 1200’ lock at the LaGrange Lock and Dam on the Illinois River. The Project is located at River Mile 80.2 in Brown and Cass Counties, Illinois. The Project is being developed under the Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program (NESP). The District is seeking your initial input regarding environmental resources within the Project area.

Attached you will find the District’s scoping letter, enclosures to the letter, and distribution list. The District requests your comments within 30 days of the date of this letter.
