Tangent Technologies is accepting applications for a Lead Technician (Aurora, IL)

Description

The lead technician will serve as a bridge between the maintenance supervisor and maintenance technicians, coordinating daily activities for both reactive and preventative maintenance for the assigned area of responsibility.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Works with production leads to resolve equipment issues
  • Communicates through established methods the status of resolving downtime events
  • Trains other technicians on safe and effective methods of repair and troubleshooting
  • Guides other technicians in completion of tasks
  • Monitors preventative maintenance activities to ensure completion to schedule
  • Performs repair activities themselves where others have been unable to resolve the problem

 

Work Schedule

Day shift, Monday-Friday (hours may vary based on needs)

 

Requirements

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong mechanical and electrical repair skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable manufacturing processes
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

 

Education and experience

  • Associates degree/certificate in related field or
  • Comparable manufacturing experience

 

physical requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
