LMR 869-953 9.5′ Draft Advisory (0342-23 Change10)

MSU Paducah has updated the draft and tow restrictions BNM for the Lower Mississippi River from MM 869-953.8 to align with Sector Lower Miss’. MSIB (attached) it reads as follows:

THE US COAST GUARD CAPTAIN OF THE PORT OHIO VALLEY, WITH THE CONCURRENCE OF THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI RIVER COMMITTEE, HAS PLACED THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS ON THE LMR FROM MILE MARKER 869 TO 953.8:

NORTHBOUND TOWS ARE TO HAVE DRAFTS NO GREATER THAN 9 FEET 6 INCHES WITH TOWS CONFIGURED NO MORE THAN 6 BARGES WIDE TOTAL WITH LOADED BARGES NO MORE THAN 4 WIDE.

SOUTHBOUND TOWS ARE TO HAVE DRAFTS NO GREATER THAN 10 FEET 6 INCHES WITH TOWS CONFIGURED NO MORE THAN 6 BARGES WIDE.

MARINERS SHOULD TRANSIT WITH CAUTION AND ARE ADVISED THAT USACE MAINTAINED DEPTH AND WIDTH MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE ON ALL BUOY LINES.
