Lock Closure Chicago Harbor Lock

Effective: 04/29/2026 20:00 thru 05/01/2026 10:00 CDT

1. Chicago Harbor Lock will be closed to all traffic starting Wednesday April 29, 2026 at 2000 hours through Thursday April 30, 2026 at 1000 hours.

2. Chicago Harbor Lock will be closed to all traffic starting Thursday April 30, 2026 at 2000 hours through Friday May 1, 2026 at 1000 hours.

3. The purpose of the closure is for adjustments to the sector gate HPU equipment and to transition the site to temporary power for the generator and automatic transfer switch replacement.
