Lockport Lock: Out of Service (update)

We’ve been given temporary situational permission to operate the emergency gate to help empty the chamber but only so we can get the last few NB boats through. The M/V Prairie State will be the last vessel we lock until the valve is set back into place Wednesday or Thursday this week.

Next week, anticipate a few days of closures to facilitate seal repairs to the upper service gate and cable replacement on the upper emergency gate. Please bear with us while we work to expedite repairs and be fully functioning before Brandon Road opens back up in a few weeks.
