Logistics Support Coordinator (Nashville, TN)
Ingram Barge is accepting applications for a Logistics Support Coordinator in Nashville, TN. Ingram Barge Company, the leading carrier on America’s inland waterways, is seeking a Logistics Support Coordinator in our Nashville, TN office. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who has superior organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. At the core of the company’s operations, this position will process data received by the boats and provide administrative support to assist the Logistics team with fulfilling barge freight orders and answering customer inquiries. This position will also have future responsibilities involving tank barge support and logistics planning support.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining a high level of knowledge and expertise to efficiently handle complex billing and system discrepancies
- Problem solving with internal and external customers (Accounting, Credit, Sales, Logistics, etc.) to ensure billing discrepancies are accurately and thoroughly investigated before issuing corrections
- Managing demurrage for all customers, including creating/running reports, communicating with internal and external customers, and working with Accounting to ensure demurrage billing is accurate
- Prepare month-end demurrage accrual report for accounting
- Managing Grain, Outside Towing, Towline, and Customer Service Support mailboxes to ensure external and internal questions and requests are answered in a timely manner
- Creating grain Bill of Ladings per customer requests
- Updating boat logs to ensure accurate barge data, report discrepancies to appropriate area
- Entering data into internal system such as escalations, barge unload, barge loading, reconsignments, tramp towing, transloads, and weight information
- Creating new job numbers for billings purposes
- Creating and maintaining Ingram vessel and barge charters, while also updating responsible parties on vessel charters in CFS CounterPoint for billing purposes
- Communicating directly with vendors and customers to provide up-to-date and accurate information
- Scanning and entering new contracts and addendums
- Managing, troubleshooting, and creating customer Towline accounts
- Reporting systematic problems or enhancements to IS department; perform testing for new systems or enhancement
- Providing phone coverage to the Customer Service Support Group
- Supporting department activities with regular and prompt attendance
Minimum Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holiday schedule
- Work weekends every 6 weeks including 1 holiday a year
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0-1 years of experience
- Technology in use (Experience with some of these preferred):

- Microsoft Office, iLog Admin, iLog Logistics, Prometheus, OnBase, OTM, TowBoat Orders, Orderbook, CMS, PeopleSoft, CounterPoint and Automated Demurrage
