DREDGING OPERATIONS Mississippi River Shallow Draft Crossings and Deep Draft Crossings

Date: 26 May 2022 and continuing for approximately 6 days
Beginning on approximately 26 May 2022 and continuing for approximately 6 days, the U.S. Government Dustpan Dredge HURLEY will be working at the Tunica Bend Shallow Draft Crossing between approximate miles 294 and 295 Above Head of Passes (AHP) of the Mississippi River.
Upon completing its work at Tunica Bend on approximately 1 June 2022, the dredge will start working at the Deep Draft Crossings between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana until approximately 30 September 2022. The first dredging location will be at Red Eye Crossing, at approximate mile 224.0 Above Head of Passes (AHP) of the Mississippi River.
The dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will give way to vessels using the waterway. The dredge can be contacted on either VHF channel 16 or 67 for sailing instructions.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
