DREDGING OPERATIONS Old River Lock

Date: 08/01/2022 00:00 thru UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Commencing on or about 1 August 2022 and continuing until further notice, the U.S. Government Contract Cutterhead Dredge CAPTAIN FRANK will perform dredging operations at Old River Lock Forebay and work back towards Old River Lock.

Dredged material will be deposited into deep water in the Mississippi River and via a floating pipeline.

The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and updated navigation bulletins will be issued for the Dredge CAPTAIN FRANK concerning its various dredging assignments.

Mariners should contact the Dredge on marine channels 13 and 16, and the Old River Lock on marine channel 14 when approaching the Old River Lock Forebay area.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
