Commencing on or about 8 June 2022 and continuing through approximately 15 June 2022, a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing subaqueous stone along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) of the Mississippi River at approximate mile 70.7 Above Head of Passes (AHP).
The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include an anchor barge with hydraulic backhoe. An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.
During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the Right Descending Bank (RDB) out of the Mississippi River Channel. The M/V Morgan Ray can be contacted on VHF channels 67 and 78.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
