Full Job Description

Performs work at the request of and under the supervision of the Facilities Manager and/or Assistant Maintenance Supervisor.

Demonstrates competency in one or more construction or maintenance-related fields. Trains to perform all duties and responsibilities required by the maintenance department. Demonstrates initiative and a strong desire to learn. Exercises a growing degree of independent judgment. Requires daily performance of physical activity and labor.

Requires general knowledge in the carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, concrete forming/finishing, painting, roofing, flooring, and/or electrical trades. Performs a variety of work tasks, including:

  • Basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial, commercial, and residential buildings and other facilities;
  • Maintenance and care of grounds/landscaping, roads, rail track, underground water/sewer lines, and other infrastructure;
  • Operation, care, cleaning and storage of equipment and tools;
  • Extensive physical activity, including seasonal work associated with land and property maintenance such as snow removal, tree removal, landscaping and manual labor; and
  • Operation of large equipment (bobcat, attachments, and backhoe); and
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education in any of the skilled trades is recommended. Required to obtain an EPA Section 608 HVAC Certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
